Sunrise and Skunk

Tuesday, May 5, 2009, 4:00 am

I was resting in my kennel when I heard the familiar footsteps walk down the latter, through the back hall, down the back stairs, and across the kitchen floor. My tail waged as Joshua opened the kennel door, put on my bell collar and leash, and took me to the van.
After loading my kennel and his backpack into the van, he climbed into the driver seat. I quickly jumped on his lap and started giving him kisses to show my appreciation. However, after Joshua Started the van, I sat down on the front seat.
I know better than to bother Joshua when he is driving. After a few times of him slamming on the break when I tried it cured me of that. And beside I had to rest up for my walk. So curling up on the front seat I went to sleep, as Joshua pulled out of the driveway.
As soon as the van came to a stop at the end of shore trail road, I was on Joshua's lap, and Jumped out as soon as he opened the door.

Joshua started heating up water for hot chocolate.

He also started building a fire.

I ran around for a while then laid down for a rest.

Joshua continued taking pictures of the sunrise.

I decided to go for another walk.

While Joshua spent more time by the fire.

This is a picture of my ride.
While Joshua took more pictures of the sunrise...

I decided to have another rest.

Joshua took more pictures of the sunrise.

It was time for a swim.

Joshua continued to take more photos of the scenery.

Around 6:20 my scene of smell picked up something interesting.
I preceded to the woods investigate, while Joshua took more pictures of the sunrise.

I was hot on the trail of a black and white cat when I heard Joshua calling me. I continued to follow it, but it let out a horrible smell. I decided to go find Joshua. As I came out of the woods Joshua looked worried, but was relieved that I did not smell as bad as the surrounding air.

After putting me in my Kennel, Joshua took one last picture before climbing into the van himself.

When we arrived home Joshua took me inside. Apparently though I did not smell as bad as the end of shore trail road did, Mom thought I smell bad enough. I was sent outside. However, Joshua brought my food out, so I was OK with that for a while.

However as the day dragged and no one came near me, I became a little depressed.
Finally late in the after noon Joshua, came to rescue me, but he only tied me up to the towers.

A few minutes later he and Mon came out and I went through the torture of being given a bath. However they did let me in the house after that, and for that I was grateful.
