Anticipation was in the air! My family was preparing for a trip! This could mean one of three things. First, they could be planing to take me with them. Secondly, maybe they were leaving Joshua behind to take me for a walk.
Then there was the dreaded option. What if they were leaving me at home! By myself! In the kennel! As insensitive as it may seem to you, they have been known to do that. There was no time to dwell on that though. I had a job to do! Let them know I wanted go with them!
I have to admit I was worried when Joshua, took his backpack to out to the van without me, but was relieved when my kennel was loaded into the van. I was soon taken to the van myself . I was a little disappointed at having to ride in the kennel. I much prefer riding in the front with my people, however a treat awaited me so I climbed in.
After two and a half hours of riding the van finally stopped. Excitedly I prepare to get out! The van doors opened, But no one came for me. Can you believe it? They completely forgot about me. After a couple of hours the doors opened again, but still no one took me for a walk. This happened several times during the next hour.
Finally the van stared to move again, but soon came to a stop again. Luggage was removed, but still no one seemed to care about the poor dog in the kennel. Again the van began to move, but soon stopped gain. The door opened and people got in completely forgetting my needs. After driving around for a while the van stopped again. The doors opened again. Could this finally be my walk? To my disappointment they rushed inside, again leaving me in the kennel.
I was about to give up on this day when the van door opened. I was filled with excitement as Joshua grabbed his Backpack, But to my shock, he did not take me. However, a few minutes later he returned, opened the kennel, and put on my leash. I was filled with excitement! We walked across a yard and when we got to the tall grass, Joshua let me go. I was finally a free dog!

After crossing the potato field behind the house, we came to a pond.
So I did what any good dog would do when confronted with this situation.
I went for a swim.
After leaving the pond I stopped at a spring across the road for a drink. Hearing the sound of running water, Joshua and I headed for the woods.
We soon found a stream.
Joshua followed it, while I explored the surrounding territory.
I crossed the stream several times.
Joshua Tried to get a picture of me, however I was too fast for him.
Finally, I Needed a break!!!
Thats When He got his picture.
Joshua Continued to follow the stream for a while.
Then headed back towards the pond.
We came out of the woods into a potato field.
