Greenlaw Mountain Sunrise

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

During the days following my Crocker Island trip Nathaniel and Andrew took me on several walk which I greatly enjoyed. But it wasn't till next Tuesday morning, Joshua and I were in the woods again.
It couldn't have come any sooner. I'm not sure what I had done, but I had been banished to the garage since Sunday. So you can imagine my excitement when Joshua came through the garage with his backpack. After a brief trip to the woods, he loaded me and my kennel into the van and we were off.
After about half an hour, the van came to a stop. Joshua claimed out. Then came around to the back to let me out. Joshua stayed on the road, and kept a steady speed, while I explored the surrounding woods. When we arrived at the top of the mountain, Joshua Began building a fire.

After taking a picture of the sunrise, he starting to heating up water for hot chocolate.

He took another picture the sunrise, while he waited for it to heat up.

It was time the check out the fire.

After finishing his hot chocolate, Joshua took more pictures of the scenery, while I went for another walk.

I soon returned to check on Joshua.

He was sitting by the fire taking more pictures of the scenery.

I decided it was time for a rest, while Joshua took another picture of the scenery.

After a long morning of exploring, I was exhausted.

It was time to sit back and enjoy the scenery for a while.

Then it was time to be on the move.

I went back into the woods, as Joshua took even more pictures of the scenery.

I returned for another break.

Joshua took more pictures of the scenery.

I decided to enjoy the scenery myself for a few minutes.

Then at 7:00 it was time to head back.

When we arrived at the van, I was exhausted and more than willing to sit so Joshua could put on me leash. And besides, he had a treat.

He loaded me in the van and we headed home.
