Foggy Sunrise

Sunday, May 31, 2009

It was 4:05 am when Joshua came down to rescue me from my kennel. After putting my leash and bell on, we were off on our walk. When we reached the entrance to Elm Street Nature Park, Joshua unhooked my leash. I started exploring the surrounding woods, when I smelled Salmon cooking. I came out of the woods to make sure Joshua hadn't forgotten to share it with me. I sat, and patiently waited. Finally it was ready, and he did give me a little. After we finished our breakfast, Joshua mad himself a cup of hot chocolate, then started taking pictures of the sunrise.

The fog quickly blocked rolled in, so Joshua and I, decided to go for a walk in the woods.
When we got the the stream, Joshua carefully made his way across what was left of the bridge.

I swam across the pond on top of the beaver dam.

The second bridge we came to was in better shape, but who needs a bridge when there is mud and water to go through.

We continued our walk.
The sun was shinning through the fog when we arrived back at the field.

Joshua took several pictures.

Then we headed home.

Sunset at Crocker Island

Sunday, May 24,2009

It was 7:30 Sunday Evening, when Joshua rescued me from my kennel, and we headed words Crocker Island. As we passed the SPCA building, we saw several dogs being moved into cages outside. I tried to visit them, but Joshua wouldn't let go of my leash. However, one of the dogs broke free and came to visit me. At first I, he wanted to play, so you can imagine my shock and horror when he attacked me. The two girl from the SPCA shelter helped Joshua rescue me, garbing his leash, while Joshua pulled my leash in the other direction.
We soon came to Denis Stream.

Joshua took pictures as crossed it.

After we crossed the guardrail as on the other side of the stream, Joshua unhooked my leash, and we headed towards crocker island.

After circling the island, Joshua started preparing super.

In the hopes, the he would share some with his loyal companion, I patiently waited.

Very patiently waited!!!

Finally he gave me some.

I excitedly devoured it, then sat for more. But instead he packed up his backpack and headed back to the road where we met the van.

Just when I thought the evening was over, Joshua turned around and headed back to the island.

Joshua took pictures of the sunset, while I ran around on the beach.

It was time for a swim.

Seeing the approaching storm, I decided to come out of the water.

Joshua and I decided, to head home before it started to rain.
